These four poles, probably carved by Nuu-chah-nulth artists working for Joseph Standley at the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop in Seattle, depict crest figures inspired by photographs of Alaskan poles, including Eagles, Ravens, Beavers, Bears, Frogs, Dogfish, and Duck-toohl - the strong man who rips sea lions in two.
