The Burke Museum welcomes people of all abilities.

All galleries, restrooms, and museum spaces are designed in accordance with ADA specifications. Our visitor services team is happy to provide the following amenities on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • Wheelchairs
  • Folding cane seats
  • Visors and noise-reducing earmuffs
  • Fidget wristbands

Caregivers receive free admission. If you are a caregiver for a person with a disability, please let admission staff know during your visit.

Service animals are welcome in the Burke. Companion animals do not qualify as service animals and are not allowed in the museum. As other animals are not allowed in the building, you may be asked if you have a service animal upon entry.

NEW Archaeology Gallery Accessibility Tools pilot program. We're excited to launch accessibility tools for use in the Our Material World gallery.
