Burke Museum Association

Fundraising Board

The Burke Museum Association actively supports the museum by raising funds for programming and growth, strengthening ties to our diverse communities and fostering recognition of the Burke as a museum leader. The BMA is a separate 501(c)(3) (EIN: 91-2151686).

As is customary with the University of Washington and other non-profit organizations, the Burke Museum Association applies a gift assessment to certain philanthropic contributions upon receipt. The assessment supports essential services such as financial oversight, compliance, and stewardship allowing us to maximize the effectiveness of these contributions and preserve the integrity of our mission. The assessment is 5 percent and applies only to restricted gifts over $1,000 and up to $5 million.
