Build confidence in your science skills under the mentorship of scientists

Designed to inspire the next generation of researchers and engineers, the Voices in Science program connects teens with scientists, Indigenous Knowledge Holders, and real UW lab experiences. VIS exists to help address inequities in STEM by building student confidence, interest, skills, and knowledge through exposure to a variety of scientific fields and the mentorship of leaders from the Burke Museum, University Washington, and Puget Sound Community. 

This program is open to all. VIS seeks to create a culture of belonging and respect for everyone. We are committed to being a safe space for those with identities and voices historically underrepresented in STEM.
