S'abadeb-Seattle Art Museum This type of adze, used in the Puget Sound and Hood Canal areas, is an all-purpose woodworking tool used for the tasks of sculpting canoes, bowls and spoons, and for truing planks split from large cedar trees with wedges of yew.
