Annie Williams lived at Wetlkwau, California; she was about
sixty-five when Lila O'Neale interviewed her in 1932. One of
three sisters, all known as basket makers with high standards,
Annie made fancy baskets of the cooking type as well as grass
overlay baskets of a modern style. She eagerly experimented with
new forms shown to her in photographs by O'Neale.
