The butterfly design means well wishes, good luck, and everlasting happiness. It is used on wedding or trade baskets, or for a special gift. Eight pairs of men and women are at the top, a spiderweb design is at the bottom, and deer placed between finger designs are used in the central panel. ('A Time of Gathering')
