"Alfred Davidson the artist's uncle, one of three men to be ordained Deacon in the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Old Massett, asked his nephew to design an invitation for the ceremony. Raven and Eagle crests are combined to symbolize village unity, with the Eagle's head forming the wing of the Raven."
