Central NWC Case (1991-1997):"Bird Mask. Northern Wakashan art reflects the influence of Kwakwaka'wakw, Nuxalk, and Tsimshian neighbors. This bird mask, which may represent an owl, is similar to Nuxalk masks, but the shape of the eye socket with its large flat orb makes it distinctively Northern Wakashan in style."
