"This Thunderbird was one of Robert Davidson's first commercially successful prints. Though unsigned and unnumbered, he printed his logo - initials RD, with the R reversed- in the lower right corner. As with many early prints on non acid-free paper, this one has changed with age, turning greenish from its originsal beige. The inspiration was a Thunderbird design by Charles Edenshaw for a headstone in the Massett cemetery."
