Slender stems of rabbitbrush are woven over warps of
sumac to form wicker trays, the specialty of Hopi basket
makers on Third Mesa, Arizona. In the Basket Dance,
Hopi women carry trays and other baskets to give away at
the end of the ceremony. This tray depicts an eagle.
