S'abadeb-Seattle Art Museum In the late 1800s, novel baskets in fanciful forms appealed to tourists who sought out Native crafts as souvenirs of visits to Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria. Weavers were unrestrained by function and utility-there is a whimsical freedom imparted to these weavings.
