Children's toys are made especially for Day of the Dead. Los juguetes de muerto (toys for the dead) are given to children to play with, but are also placed on ofrendas (altars) for children who have died. These 'little angels' (los angelitos) return to their famillies late on October 31 to find special altars made for them.
