RED GUARD POSTERS: In 1967, student Red Guards and revolutionary worker rebels were mobilized to remove officials whom Mao
considered obstacles to the continuing revolution. Workers, students, and soldiers, armed with Mao's Red Book, fight to overthrow officials who are "taking the Capitalist Road."
"Joyously proclaim the birth of a new Tianjin"
Workers (flat caps), peasants (headscarves), soldiers (red star caps), and students (armbands) celebrate the formation of a new city government. The soldier holds Mao's Selected Works.
