Meet scientists at the Burke Museum and across the University of Washington!

Designed for students age 13+ in grades 7–8, the Middle School Voices in Science program provides a collaborative and supportive environment to try a variety of STEM fields and approaches. 

Meet a new team of specialists and explore a new topic each week. Past topics have included medical physics, ornithology, paleobotany, and geochemistry. 

Priority acceptance is granted to applicants seeking to develop self-confidence in their STEM skills, and students with limited access to STEM role models and/or science resources.

Ages: Grades 7–8 and 13+

Cost: FREE 

Session Dates: Sundays in October and November, 2–5 p.m. at the Burke Museum

October 18 – Paleobotany
October 25 – Geochemistry
November 1 – Oceanography
November 8 – Ornithology
November 15 – Archaeology
November 22 – Medical Physics
