As the summer season comes to a close, come light up the rainbow at this month’s STEAM Spotlight: Queers in STEAM. Join the Burke Museum in celebrating and uplifting LGBTQIA2S+ identities. This event is about visibility, representation, and showcasing the work and interests of queer knowledge holders working in STEAM and STEAM-supporting jobs at the Burke. Visitors of all ages are invited to learn, connect, and be in community!
– Chat with LGBTQIA2S+ identifying staff, volunteers, and students of the Burke about the work they do here at the museum.
– Connect with LGBTQIA2S+ community partners, or staff, and hear about the work they do outside of the Burke or in partnership with the Burke.
– Get crafty with different fun and exciting activity and illustration tables.
