Meet Valerie Segrest (Muckleshoot), Regional Director, Native Food and Knowledge Systems, Native American Agriculture Fund.

In our second event highlighting our Archaeology gallery Our Material World, hear from Valerie Segrest, a member of the Muckleshoot Tribe and native foods educator. As a prominent voice in the development of the Archaeology Gallery, Valerie helped define the exhibit's focus on sustainable food systems that are culturally relevant and nutritionally appropriate. Learn more about her role as a community partner, helping to develop exhibit labels to hands-on demonstrations of local and traditional food preparations.
