Traci will work with wool to demonstrate Coast Salish twining on a traditional Coast Salish loom to twine a small blanket project.
About the Artist
Traci B. Jones, Tulalip Tribal Member, has been weaving for four years using a traditional twining technique for Coast Salish wool weaving. She is an apprentice with the Coast Salish Wool Weaving Center, whose members are co-curators of the Burke's special exhibition Woven in Wool: Resilience in Coast Salish Weaving.
