Learn more from youth in local science and STEAM programs!
Beginning at 5:45 p.m., chat with participants of the high school Burke Girls in Science spring session and learn about the plant fossils they studied.
From 4:30–7:30 p.m. talk with folks from local teen organizations:
– Seattle Aquarium Youth Ocean Advocate program — grab a program flyer, an orca trading card, and learn about their biofacts!
– Y-WE (Young Women Empowered) — learn about their free summer programs in Columbia City. Stop by the table to learn more, get some stickers, take home a free Polaroid picture, and try on some butterfly wings!

Guma' Gela' in the Artist Studio
12–7 p.m.
Guma' Gela' will demonstrate Pasifika Weaving with pandanus and lei making in the Artist Studio as part of Free First Thursday. They will also share how weaving and lei making connects to Oceanic STEM knowledge. Learn more »

4:30–7:30 p.m.
– Learn more about how DIG Field School brings fossils to K–12 classrooms.
– Engage with the archaeology team by learning about making boxes, archival supplies, and student work in the lab. Learn more »
