About the Artist
Mabuhay! I'm Meech (or Michelle Matulac), the creator behind Meech Craft! I'm excited to bring this traditional craft of broom making to Burke to showcase a common household tool that is often overlooked!
Inspired by the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and the sustainability of traditional crafts, Meech Craft specializes in handwoven brooms made from organic materials, designed as tools to cleanse and refresh your space. I draw from my Filipino roots and my adventures in the PNW with each creation being a blend of cultural heritage and natural inspiration.
You can find me at Pratt Fine Arts in Seattle where I teach monthly broom craft workshops if you're interested in learning how to make brooms!
