Fossil Finders | Archaeology Family Day booth

Did you know that archaeologists don’t study fossils?! Learn about ancient technologies, identify animal bones, sort shells, watch a stone tool making demonstration. Talk to Burke archaeologists and event partners as they share tabletop activities, stories about artifacts, and belongings at our museum-wide Archaeology Family Day.

To earn your November Fossil Finders passport stamp, visit the Fossil Finders booth on Floor 3 to talk with Burke paleontologists and educators about the differences between archaeology and paleontology and learn about extinct Ice Age animals that lived alongside humans!
