Alison Bremner in the Artist Studio

Tlingit artist Alison Bremner will create handmade press-on nails using traditional Tlingit formline techniques. The nails are an everyday expression of culture. Each set combines traditional artistry with modern techniques, incorporating traditional materials such as abalone, copper, operculum shells and various traditional plants. The nails are wearable art and collectible items, with no set done the same way twice.
