A Special Basket

Inside the basket, I wove a circle of life, with a path leading outward and toward "John Putnam". This path leads John into the circle. When I started this design, I took it outdoors in the morning to greet the rising sun, to include the life-giving force in the basket.
The bead in the interior of the basket is a symbol of the union of Native culture with European culture.
