Scientists and students participating in the International Kuril Project have conducted five collecting expeditions to the archipelago. In the field, the team is based on a Russian research vessel. Field days involve long hours collecting on the islands and long nights curating the collections, and exciting ship to shore commutes between. Our gallery will give you an idea of what the expeditions "feel" like, through photographs taken by various members of the project through the years. Enjoy.
