Label: Tall cylindrical plaited cedar bark basket with square bottom and circular rim. Made of split cedar bark, in a plain plaiting technique, 1/1 interval, closed spacing, on the diagonal. Minimal use of overlay of black dyed cedar bark on the exterior has created a diagonal plaid or stacked diamond pattern. The square/diamond enclosed by the plaid design measures 1/5" x 1.5". The rim finish is a double self binding plaited selvage with warps and wefts folded over and woven in for.5-.1". Warps are folded over to the exterior and interior of the basket.
