Vertebrate Paleontology

Vertebrate Paleontology at the Burke is part of the Paleontology & Geology Department, which also includes Invertebrate Paleontology and Micropaleontology, Paleobotany and Minerals.

The Vertebrate Paleontology Collection includes over 62,000 specimens of fossil mammals, birds, dinosaurs, reptiles, amphibians and fishes. In total, the Paleontology & Geology Department cares for more than 3 million specimens of fossil invertebrates, vertebrates, plants, microfossils and trace fossils.
