Join us for an afternoon of fun activities, including information on local and global archaeology, activities such as making your own Roman tablet, flint knapping, and more! Also find out what’s under Seattle with early Seattle artifacts from the Burke Museum’s archaeology collections, and go inside the museum* to see mounts be made for fragile 2,000-year-old Mediterranean glass in the visible Archaeology Workroom.

The archaeology team and our event partners are excited to teach visitors about archaeological techniques, tools, and objects. We are not able to date or identify any objects at this event. If you have an object you'd like help identifying, please fill out our Object Identification Form.

Don’t forget to wear your masks!

For more information, visit the AIA Puget Sound Facebook page or email

*Please note all outdoor activities are free; indoor museum activities are included with museum admission.
