On the first Thursday of each month, the museum stays open until 8 pm—and admission is free.
Closed: Christmas Day (Dec. 25), New Year's Day (Jan. 1), July 4th, Thanksgiving Day.
Early closing: Museum closes at 3 pm on December 24 and December 31.
Weather closure: During inclement weather, call the museum after 10 am (206-543-7907) to confirm it is open.

The Burke Museum is located on the University of Washington campus at 17th Ave NE and NE 45th Street.

The Burke Museum is located .5 miles north of the Burke-Gilman Trail. Bike racks are located in front of the Burke Museum and on the southwest corner of the building. Use the City of Seattle's Bicycling Guide Map to plan the safest route to the museum on your bike or on foot.
Museum parking is operated by the University of Washington. Enter the UW campus at 17th Ave NE (Memorial Way) and NE 45th Street. Go to the gatehouse to purchase a parking ticket and tell the attendant that you are parking at the Burke Museum. Cash and Visa/Mastercard are accepted.
