Sat., Oct. 26, 2013 – Sun., Oct. 27, 2013 | 11 am – 3 pm
Included with museum admission; FREE for Burke members or with UW ID
*Saturdays and Sundays in October, 11 am – 3 pm
Every weekend at the Burke, see and even touch objects not normally on display, and do hands-on activities with crafts to take home. Also take part in guided exhibit tours of the Life and Times and Pacific Voices galleries every Saturday at 1 pm.
In October, discover what makes our feathered friends “feathered.” What's in a wing? Find out more about bird wings, plumage, and the feathers that make it all possible. See a few beautiful wings from the collection, and craft your own plumage pin.
Themes change monthly, so there's always something new!
Upcoming Weekend Activities:
December: Fish & Shells
January: Archaeology (Artifacts)
March: Fossils (Dinos!)
*Weekend Activities will not be held on Saturday, October 19, due to Birds at the Burke.
Select Weekend Activities may be replaced by other large-scale programs and events (Dino Day, Meet the Mammals, Native Arts Day) on select days throughout the year. Please see the Burke’s event website for availability.
