The Burke Museum and the Puget Sound Mycological Society present a day filled with fungi fun! Discover how mushrooms are saving the world! From new, eco-friendly packaging, to oil spill clean-up, come see the power of fungi at the 6th annual Mushroom Maynia!

11:00 am "Fungi as Nature's Recyclers" with Milton Tam
12:00 pm “Mycoremediation, Restoration, and the Potential for Combined Biological Technologies to Heal the Environment” with Howard Sprouse from The Remediators
1:00 pm “What is a Mushroom?” with Marian Maxwell
2:00 pm “New and Innovative Uses for Fungi,” with Rory Pease
3:00 pm “Fungi in Traditonal Japanese Brewing and Distilling” with K.C. Sheehan of Sodo Distilleries
