Come say hello to an old friend - the Egyptian mummy at the Burke!
Join us for a special panel discussion with Executive Director, Julie Stein, and Curator of Archaeology, Peter Lape, as they talk about the history of the mummy, how the Burke became her home, and the implications of displaying human remains.
Please note that the mummy will be in the Burke Room and space for seating is limited. We will accommodate guests with additional standing room and seating flowing into the lobby. Program begins at 6:30 pm.
Do you have a favorite memory of the mummy? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and share your story - we'd love to hear it!
"Burke after Work" happy hours are an exclusive opportunity for our members to access the museum’s exhibits and experts after museum hours! Each happy hour features a theme from our collection and a chance to speak one-on-one with Burke specialists, so you can ask questions about the objects and learn more about what’s happening behind the scenes. (Plus food and drink, of course!)
This event is for Burke members. Not a Burke member? Join today!
