Discover around 50 species of plants important to Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. The garden was created in 1984 to honor UW anthropologist, much-loved educator, and longtime museum director Erna Gunther. The Garden is best enjoyed during spring and summer when the flowers are in bloom.
