Please join us for an evening of Haida art and dance with Evelyn Vanderhoop and the Haida Heritage Foundation Dance Group.
Evelyn Vanderhoop is a Haida master of both naaxiin (Chilkat-style) and Ravenstail weaving. She is a contributing author for In the Spirit of the Ancestors: Reflections on Contemporary Northwest Coast Art at the Burke Museum (UW Press, forthcoming). She will be in residence as a Bill Holm Center Visiting Researcher, and will speak about her work. The Haida Heritage Foundation dancers will begin the evening with 20 minutes of song and dance!
