Sun., Sept. 21, 2014 | 10 am – 4 pm
Included with museum admission; FREE for Burke members

Buzz on by the Burke as thousands of specimens fly, inch, or crawl to the museum for this favorite annual family event. Examine bugs of all kinds from the Burke’s collections, learn about beneficial bugs, enjoy buggy music, and more!

  • Beneficial Bugs - At 12:00 pm, special guest and local celebrity Ciscoe Morris of “Gardening with Ciscoe” will shed light on the beneficial bugs hidden in your garden and answer all of your gardening questions.
  • Buggy Music - At 10:30 am and 2:30 pm we'll enjoy Bee-Boppin' Buggy Music with Nancy Stewart.
  • Touch Bugs - You'll have the chance to see and even touch live insects and spiders.
  • Crafts - Make and decorate your own "scary" or adorable-looking spider takeaway.

Watch this 30-second video for a sneak peek of some of the things you can see and do at Bug Blast!
