Can you imagine life before plastics? No waterproof raincoats? No plastic buckets? Humans existed without plastics for millennia. Now, we rely on plastics to meet our basic needs. Students will explore our relationship with plastics through a directed gallery experience and hands-on activities while discovering the science, the history, and the impact on our world.
This tour is designed to enhance students’ experience of the Burke Museum’s exhibit Plastics Unwrapped on display through May 27, 2013.
*Special arrangements can be made for larger groups, and for groups that request longer visits.
