Peoples of the Plateau Educator Workshop
Artists from the Yakama, Nez Perce, Cayuse and Umatilla nations joined 21 teachers for an amazing, hands-on workshop. Teachers received a tour of the exhibit, This Place Called Home, from curator Miles Miller. Teachers also engaged in beading and weaving classroom activities with 8 different artists, and heard stories from saddlemaker and storyteller HollyAnna Pinkham. It was a great opportunity for the Burke to bring resources to teachers, and work with the community.
